CHAPTER 19
Distant Lands Reception at the hotel is amazing, it almost seems to me that we’re Hollywood stars. At the entrance, before we even enter, two boys all dressed up in the hotel uniform come towards us and take our suitcases and they silently take them to a corner of the reception while they wait to know the allocation of our rooms. At the desk Piero takes care of everything rattling off some Geordan flatteries to the receptionist.
After less than ten minutes he comes back with our keys and tells us to follow him towards the massive golden lift in the bottom of the room.
The hall is impressive and bright, full of mirrors and red couches swelling with luxury but without burden a high and capacious room.
