Eliza snuck out of the room where the baby and Alexander shared as quietly as she could. She held her breath until she heard the quiet click of the doorknob holding the door shut. A grin grew on her face at the miraculous accomplishment of getting all the children down for the night.  With an upwards huff that sent a few stray strands of loose hair flying wildly, Eliza pulled her phone out and plopped on the couch. Metztli had relinquished his makeshift bed for Samantha’s instead and while she was ecstatic that Metztli had found his Mate, it worried her to know that she could be leaving her brother somewhere dangerous.  So, as soon as she settled into the cushioned seat of the couch, she dialed Dakota’s number.
