Chapter 40

I wake up and put my scrubs and veterinarians outfit on to get ready for work. I make myself a banana and strawberry smoothie and put one in the fridge for brandon. I go back to the room and give him a light kiss on the forehead.

I take a 25 minute drive to work and find everything in good condition. I greet everyone and get settled in.

6 hours later

I finish up my paper work and began powering down my computer. I turn all the lights off and lock up the clinic and make my way home. When I get home, Brandon is already home with dinner prepared. He greets me at door with a kiss and rubs my belly.

Brandon: How was work?

Me: It was good. Our little soccer player was doing lots of kicking today.
