Chapter 13

Three days later

As I head in the house I greet everyone with hugs and kisses. As I'm walking towards the back, Melody comes up to me.

Melody: Omg tomorrow is your graduation we got to go get ur graduation outfit. What color are you thinking? What type of heels are you planning on wearing?

As Melody continues to drill my head with questions finally Maria steps in which is a relief

Maria: Melody stop drilling her head with questions

Melody: Sorry mom I'm just so happy

Me: I am too

Maria: How about we go shopping today and have a little girls day while we are out

Melody: Oh yes. Let me go get ready. Adios muchachas

Me and Maria laugh as we see Melody scramble down the hallway happy as if she's a five year old who has just received a gift.

Maria: Aren't you going to freshen up, Mija?

Me: I guess so, I will be back

I go towards the back of the house to me and Brandon's room. When I walk in Brandon is sleep. I grab some clothes and take a quick shower. Before I leave the room I kiss Brandon on the forehead but before I get a chance to walk away from the bed he grabs me.

Brandon: And where are you going?

Me: Your mom and Mel are taking me graduation shopping

Brandon: Are you going to be okay because you know I can come if you want

Me: No it's fine I'ma be okay plus your mom mentioned it as a girls day so i don't know if you want to come

Brandon: okay we'll be safe and call if you need me

Me: Okay

I kiss Brandon and head out of the room into the living room where Melody and Maria are waiting. We all walk out of the house and get into the car. As the ride goes on Melody begins to rap Bad Bunny part to I like it, which leaves me and Maria in tears. As we get to the mall we head in and wonder around. Melody goes into a*****e and tells me and Maria she will catch up later. As me and Maria are walking she starts a conversation off about Brandon and I relationship.

Maria: So how is Brandon treating you?

Me: He is great. You have a lovely son. He is very caring and thoughtful of others.

Maria: That's my son, me and Jose raised him up good. You know he really likes you Joanna?

Me: Yes I know he confessed his love for me

Maria: My son. You know I wish you both very well and a strong relationship and long future. I hope one day I will receive Some grandkids from you two.

As Maria said that I began to choke on air and laugh

Me: Wow, well I will promise you as long as we are together and get married you will have grandkids

Maria: This is why we all love you, Joanna

As we finish talking and shopping we head back home. As I enter the house the only one home is Jose. I greet Jose with a hug and kiss.

Jose: So how was your girls day?

Me: It was great. Mel and Maria should be coming in soon. Where are the boys?

Jose: They went to go play some soccer at the field. Are you ready to graduate?

Me: Yes, I'm so happy. I can't believe how fast time goes.

Jose: I agree, Mija. Well Ima start dinner so get your stuff settled

I head to the back to Back to the room. I try on my graduation dress and love it. As I began to look in the mirror and admire myself, there's a knock at the door.

Me: who is it?

Melody: It's Mel, I wanna see the dress on you. Hurry up before Brandon comes home.

I open up and show Melody. She is in aww as she watch me twirl and admire myself in the mirror.

Mel: This dress is beautiful, Brandon is not going to be able to contain himself. Don't worry I will get everyone out the house for you.

Me: Melody, you are a mess.

Mel: I'm just being honest, Brandon was not as crazy about other girls he dated like he is with you. Brandon is deeply in love with you. Don't tell him I told you this but he is. Everybody knows he is.

Me: Well thanks for the heads up

Melody: You two should just get married already

As Melody blabber on about me and Brandon. All I could do was laugh and smile.

Me: So what about you I heard you were dating some handsome fellow also.

Mel: Umm yea, he is amazing. You know it all wasn't like that before. Brandon had to beat him up.

Me: What? Why would he do that?

Mel: Because the boy used to pick on me and I would come home and tell Brandon and Eddy then my mom told me boys pick on girls that they like and it turned out he did like me. The next time I saw him I apologized and from there we started dating.

Me: Oh wow what a love story

As we continue to talk about our love life, I get undressed and throw on my regular clothes and get ready for dinner. As we are all eating dinner Eddy and Brandon enter.

Maria: You boys are late for dinner. No eating until you both take a shower.

Eddy: Oh come on Mama, the food smells delicious.

Maria: I know but both of you stink. Go take a shower

Ten minutes later while we are all eating Brandon and Eddy come to the table for dinner. We all talk and laugh at the conversations going on. Then Melody brings up my graduation.

Melody : So aren't you excited you graduate? What are you planning on doing after?

As Melody says this she is grinning real hard and raises a eyebrow. All I could do was give her a look.

Me: Well I plan on spending some time with my grandparents, siblings, and all of you. Then maybe going somewhere with Brandon.

Maria: Oh that would be nice

Brandon: Yeah it would. I already got something planned for us two tomorrow.

Melody: Ouuuu, where brother?

Brandon: I can't tell it's a surprise

As the conversations finished up me and Melody clean up the kitchen while Maria puts away the left overs. As we finish up, I head towards my room and get my pajamas ready to take a shower. As I finish up my shower and enter Brandon's room, he comes over to me, wrap his arms around my waist and leave a long lingering kiss on my lips.

Me: Ouu, that was a nice one

Brandon: I missed you all day. How was your girls day?

Me: It was fine, you know Mel kept us busy. What about you?

Brandon: Well me and Eddy went to the field and played some soccer, I went into work for a little and that's about it.

Me: Seems like you had some fun.

Brandon: You can say that

As we continue to talk about our day. We both find ourselves in bed. As soon as I know we are both fast asleep.
