Midnight sat, looking up to the stars. Why, why am I alone? But I'm not I have oreo and that's all I need. She determined. Oreo walked up, lazy as ever. "Why are you so sad? Do you miss our twolegs?" "No" She snarled " They never treated us right and I'm glad we left them, the forest is much better." "Whatever" He yawned" ready to find a better home?" She nodded. It was wet and boggy here, and almost impossible to find anything good, even a mouse! The mud stuck to her paws, She liked the look of the pine trees and shadows in the distance. She longed for oaks, tall and stately ones, and birch, and nice pine trees. But they had only found one good forest they could call home. But they were driven out when foxes invaded their hollow. One time a badger nearly killed them and they narrowly escaped. Now they have been walking towards the sunset, knowing that they were slowly, slowly making their way away from twolegplace and all the painful memories accompanied with it. She stumbled into a hole and twisted her paw at a weird angle with a shriek of pain. " Are you okay?" Asked oreo with wide eyes. " Yes, as she winced in pain" I can't walk though" "Can I help you guys?" She whirled around staring at the one who spoke.
