She felt like her mouth was full of cotton balls, completely dry as she licked her lips and struggled to sit up. Where exactly was she? She looked down, clearly sitting on a bed, the room cast in darkness and shadows, Was she in a bedroom? Serena attempted to stand, groaning loudly at the weakness in her limbs and the ache in her joints. Even healers were subject to pains in their bodies, especially after using their powers to such a degree.
She stiffened suddenly as a shadow peeled itself of a chair and headed towards her "Don't be alarmed" it said quietly "it's just me."
