Chapter 33The next morning, after a quick cup of coffee, they drove back to Whisper Ridge, returned the rental and picked up Danny’s car. On the drive home Danny wondered how annoyed his mother would be after they’d failed to keep their dinner appointment with her. But he couldn’t bring himself to regret one minute of the time he’d shared with Evan. It had been a wonderful night, filled with passion, laughter and warmth. Nothing was going to diminish that.
