“What’s wrong with you?” Tiffany asked me as I stared at my mate and ignored the cute blonde.
I sighed. “I need to go talk to Bella. Do you mind?”
She shrugged. “Not at all. Send Jonah to me so I have someone to talk to.”
“Not a problem.” I strolled over to where Jonah and Bella were chatting and smiling happily.
They turned toward me and Bella’s smile died, like a light in her was switched off.
Fuck.
“Hey Jonah. Can I talk to Bella for a bit?”
Jonah stared at Bella, who nodded as though giving him permission to leave her.
“Tiffany wanted you to go talk to her,” I told him.
Jonah nodded, and slunk away.
I wandered a bit further away from the group and Bella followed me. I knew that my wolf shifter brothers would probably be able to hear us, no matter how far I walked.
