"Shouldn't have tested me, woman," I whispered in her mind, in a hoarse tone to let her know what it was causing me. I saw a glimpse, her shadow dancing amidst the dense trees in front of me. Our speed surpassing that of a regular human, our image shallow just inches from every peak, tree, and debris in front of me. It was like playing at high speed, avoiding obstacles in the nick of time before a catastrophe. I could feel the adrenaline in my veins, pulsing with every step I took in her direction.
