I approached him, dismissing the idea that it might have been just a curious lycan in the vicinity who caught our scent and came to see if we were familiar. Or at least, that's what I hoped for, as he had left instead of fighting. "Nothing much. Where are we going?" I asked, avoiding his question. He purred in a sinfully sweet manner before taking off barefoot ahead of me. "You'll have to follow me to find out, sweetie," he retorted, already quite a distance away. I took it as a challenge and began running barefoot as well. After all, the soles of a werewolf's feet were twice as thick as a human's, as if the same material that covered our paws blended with our feet.
