I feel the vibration in my back pocket and my notification ding follows. As I pull out my phone I read the screen. 'Jim has left home at 5:46pm'. "Still micromanaging?" Chelsea scoffs. Chelsea, a 50 something virgin that lives with her sister Judy, a 40 something virgin. Chelsea is my least favorite of the two with her 'I'm better than you' attitude. Neither one have ever been in a relationship but yet they always have something to say about mine. Granted I'm miserable and will get out the first chance I get. But I don't need their comments. "Just seeing what he's up to" I say quietly. "Tamato taMato" she adds. I shove my phone back in my pocket and go back to filling up my cart to stock shelfs. We work for a small town drug store and our truck came in today. Melinda, our store manager always stresses about us getting it done quick. As I walk out of the stock room I pull my phone back out and pull up three family app that I use to track my boyfriend, Jim. I wouldn't even care what he was up to except a few months ago I caught him talking to other girls and was making plans to meet up with some of them. He says he never cheated physically but he still had intentions to. I watch as his icon travels the path across town finally pulling into the little convince store he gets his cigarettes from. I finally breath a sigh of relief when I see his Icon return home. I shut my screen off and can see my reflection. What am I doing and how the hell did I get here? I need to escape. Escape Jim, escape the house we live in, and escape my mom.
