Chapter 35

Aurora was already feeling sleepy and she wondered why but she was actually very happy about that. Because most nights she stays up so late before anything like sleep ever comes to her eyes. But here she was feeling sleepy now. She quickly moved the book far away from herself and relaxed back on the bed. She pulled the duvet over herself and shut her eyes as sleep took over immediately.

Soon it's was morning and Aurora's eyes flipped opened and she yawned loudly and stretched herself. She sat up on her bed and relaxed back on the headrest on the bed. She sighed and picked up the book she had kept there last night and saw it was totally close. And she just couldn't remember where she had stopped reading. She sighed and started checking for the spot where she had stopped as she remain seated on her bed. She searched for it for a couple of minutes before she finally found it. She smiled immediately and was about reading again but started feeling pressed. She frowned and slowly got up from her bed. She dropped back the book on her bed and started walking over to the restroom. She sat on the toilet and eased herself before standing up. She decided to just brushed her teeth before returning back to the room. She quickly grabbed her toothbrush and added some toothpaste into it and started brushing her teeth. She did that for a while before finally washed off the toothbrush, and kept it back into its place. She proceeded to washing her face before finally walking out of the restroom. She went straight to her bed and moved the book away as she make herself enough space to climbed in. She finally climbed into the bed and picked up the book again.

Aurora resumed back to reading the book in her hand. She was really enjoying her morning. It was actually still a little bit dark outside and she had woken up pretty earlier than usual. So that would be an opportunity for her to just read and get herself occupied before other people would wake. But she knows for sure that the maids were already awake, because she could hear them talking as they cleaned the house. But that doesn't mean she should go out of her room yet or rush to take her bath. She still has more than enough time to do all that. She just continued reading her book.

Soon the cook was already up too and she had also made breakfast. So she was now setting up the table. After the cook had set up the table, she went straight to Adonis' office to get him first before going to get Aurora. But she couldn't find him in his office. She sighed and proceeded to his room in search of him but also didn't find him there either. She sighed, and thought of the possible place Adonis would be. The only places she knew he was always in were his room and office and right now he wasn't in any of the places,so where else could he be? Those questions popped into her head, as she slowly started walking away from Adonis' room door. She doesn't know where else to search for him, and she was also sure he had left the house very early that morning. "He will definitely return,if he had gone out and he would come to me in the dining room." The cook said,to herself as she walked over to Aurora's room.

Immediately she got to Aurora's room door. She knocked and Aurora, who was focused on her book, and had totally forgotten to have her bath and get prepared to go over to the dining room, heard the knock and immediately it dawned on her that the cook was already there. "Ma'am, are you in there?" The cook spoke up.

"Oh yes, I'm here, but please give me a few minutes, I will be in the dining room." Aurora said,

"Ok ma'am." The cook replied, and started walking away.

Aurora heard her footsteps fade away and sighed, as she hit her forehead softly and dropped the book in her hand. She climbed down from the bed and started walking over to her bathroom. She took off her clothes on her way to the bathroom and quickly dumped them on the laundry basket as she quickly mixed warm soapy water into her bathtub. She quickly got into the bathtub, and took up the soap again and started using it to wash her body while she was still in the warm soapy water. She was done with bathing her body. She dropped back the soapy and got up from the bathtub. She grabbed a towel and opened the locks in the bathtub to allow the water flow out of it, while she stood there and waited patiently. Soon she put back the locks on the bathtub and went out of the bathroom. She dried her body and took out a dress from her closet which she quickly got dressed into, and started walking out of her room. She walked hastily to the dining room and finally stepped into the dining room. She saw the cook seated there with her head bowed. "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting, I really didn't mean to." Aurora apologised.

"It's ok ma'am, I understand and besides I'm already used to it." The cook said, as she stood up on her feet as she prepared to go and serve Aurora.

Aurora just sighed, she understood why the cook said she was already used to it and went over to a chair, and pulled it out before sitting down. The cook immediately dished out her food into the breakable plate in front of her. "So Alpha still doesn't come to the dining room on time, until now?" Aurora asked.

"Yes ma'am, he doesn't come here early, but I'm getting used to it now." The cook said,

"Hmm," Aurora exhaled. "Ok, I think I would have to talk to him about it." Aurora said,

"No ma'am please don't, it's totally fine with me that he is currently coming late to the dining room every time, but ma'am I know for sure that there is a reason behind it." The cook spoke in Adonis' defense.

"There is no good reason to justify his actions these past few days, before you go to his room to call him right?" Aurora asked.

"Yes I do, but he doesn't come with me immediately because he is busy with whatever is keeping him in there." The cook said,

"Ok, but must it be everyday?" Aurora asked.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry but he is the Alpha and I do know that he has so much work to carry out as the Alpha, I know it's not easy to run a pack." The cook said,

"Hmm," Aurora exhaled. "Ok whatever,so you don't want me to talk to him about his usual late coming to the dining room?" Aurora asked.

"No ma'am, please don't, I totally understand him." The cook answered.

"Ok whatever," Aurora sighed, and started eating her food.

All the while she had been talking to the cook, she didn't bother herself to eat not even a single spoon from her food. But now they have finally concluded their talk she started eating immediately. The cook stood there for a while and watched Aurora as she started eating. She was sure that Aurora wasn't going to say anything else to her. She quickly turned around and started walking away. She went straight to the kitchen and also dished out her food. She had her seat on the floor because her usual chair in the kitchen was in the dining room. She slowly ate her food, while sitting on the cold floor. She had already served all the maids their food before Aurora came to the dining room,so she was the only one that hadn't eaten yet. She ate her food for a while until it was finally finished. She sighed and took up the water she had kept beside her and took it up and zipped it down her throat. She sighed and dropped it back to the floor before she slowly stood up from the floor and dropped the dishes she had used in eating on the sink. She also added the glass too before walking out of the kitchen.

She saw Aurora also standing up from the chair she was sitting on. "Ma'am, are you done eating?" The cook asked.

"Yes, I'm done eating." Aurora said, and she started walking out of the dining area but stopped when she remembered what had happened last night.

"That reminds me,why didn't you bring me cookies last night like I asked you to?" Aurora asked.

"Ma'am, I'm really sorry about that, I forgot about it totally, and when I remembered I knew you would be asleep then, so I just decided to also go to bed too, I'm sorry ma'am." The cook apologized.
