Chapter 31

The cook stood outside his office for a while and took a deep breath. She summons the courage and knocks on Adonis' office door. "Who's there?" She heard Adonis' voice, from inside the room.

"I.. it's me.. Alpha." She stuttered.

"Yes, what do you want?" Adonis asked.

"Alpha it's been a long time. I came to call you for breakfast but I still haven't seen you,so I thought of giving you a reminder." The cook said,

"Oh,so sorry about that, I'm on my way now." Adonis replied.

"Ok Alpha, I will be waiting for you." The cook said, and turned around as she started walking back to the dining room.

The cook walked into the dining room in a haste and quickly went towards the food, covered there for Adonis. She opened it to be sure if it was still hot. But it was just a little warm now. She sighed and took it up immediately as she walked hastily into the kitchen. She opened the microwave and put in the food before shutting it back and turned it on. After a while she turned off the microwave and opened it as she took out the food and shut it back as she started walking back into the dining room with the food again. She got to the dining room and saw that Adonis still hadn't come yet. She sighed softly and dropped the food on the table before going back to where she was always sitting and waiting for him.

Meanwhile Adonis was still in his room and he was still working on the files in his hand. He remembered the cook had come to remind him about breakfast and he had promised to come over to the dining room soon but now he hadn't even started going and he was sure that she was still waiting for him in the dining room. He sighed and hit himself softly before dropping the files in his hand. He stood up from the chair he was sitting on and started walking out of the office. He continued walking until he had finally arrived in the dining room. He got in and saw the cook seated with her hand in her head and he knew immediately that she was already getting frustrated waiting for him.

"I'm sorry I kept you waiting again." Adonis said, and the cook quickly looked up realizing he had been there since all those while. She was actually lost in thought and didn't realize he had finally come for breakfast.

"It's ok Alpha." She tried to force a smile. And Adonis walked over to his usual chair and pulled it out and had his seat.

The cook quickly walked over to him and dished out his food before returning back to her chair as she watched him eat. Actually it was almost noon and she had been in the dining room all morning. She didn't even have time to rest for a minute because she was waiting patiently for Adonis to have his breakfast. One he is done eating, she would just go into the kitchen and bake the cookies like she had promised Aurora and also prepared lunch afterwards. She no longer has time for rest since Adonis has developed a habit of always coming for breakfast, lunch and even dinner late. But she had no choice than to always wait for him. Soon Adonis was done eating and he stood up on his feet and walked out of the dining room. Without wasting time the cook hurried over to the table and took up the dishes as she walked into the kitchen to wash them off and also do the other things she needed to do.

Adonis went back to his office and had his seat as usual as he started preparing to continue with his work. Just then his mind went over to Tania and he wondered if she had started the preparation for the party he was planning. She had told him she would get everything prepared within two to three days but he was just curious if she was going to do it good enough to his taste. He doesn't really need a mistake in the party and he just wanted everything about the party to be perfect and suitable for what he was planning to do that day. "I think it would be best if I work hand in hand with Tania and make sure she picks the right thing I will appreciate for this party." He thought, and sighed.

He would definitely go for it immediately. He stood up from his chair again and started walking out of his office. He headed straight to Tania's room and knocked. Tania asked him in and he quickly went into the room.

"Alpha, you are here again." Tania said, with a smile plastered on her face. Honestly she has totally forgotten about what happened between them yesterday. She almost died but here she was smiling at the man that almost killed her, and she had even offered to help him out with the party he had planned to throw.

"Yes, I'm here again." Adonis sighed.

"Ok,so is there anything else you need me to do?" Tania asked.

"Not really but, I want to be there when you pick everything for the party, I want the both of us to do all the preparation together." Adonis said,

"Ok, that's totally fine, I will also fill with all the necessary information." Tania smiled.

"Ok but when do you intend to start the preparation? because I can't see you haven't really started it." Adonis said,

"I will start it up this evening." Tania replied.

"Ok, I will like to be with you always ok, so remember to come and get me when you are ready, I really want this party to be perfect." Adonis said,

"Ok Alpha, I will definitely come to get you." Tania replied.

"Ok, I will be in my office then,see you later." Adonis said,

"Alright, I will see you later." She replied, while Adonis left her room.

She remained in her room and smiled in excitement. She just couldn't believe that Adonis would always be with her throughout all the preparation. That would really be a good thing for her. She really couldn't help but even like Adonis more. She had loved him for so long now but Adonis never for once acknowledged her. She really wished she could be Luna instead of Aurora and also be by Adonis' side. She doesn't really want to be the Luna because of the respect she would get from the people but she wants the position of the Luna because she deeply loves Adonis. She had always wished she was Adonis' mate instead of Aurora but that wasn't possible. Because the moon goddess has chosen Aurora for Adonis instead of her, she has always been in love with Adonis. Sometimes things don't always go the way you have planned. But she can't really open up her feelings to Adonis. She would only try to remain loyal to him and also care for him the little way she could.

She relaxed back on her bed and sighed. She wasn't really ready to go anywhere that day. But she would definitely go out because she really wanted to be with Adonis alone. She always finds peace within her being with Adonis. Even though he tried killing her the previous day, she doesn't care about it, she still very much loves him and her feelings for him will never change, not even for a moment. She sighed and hugged herself as she imagined holding Adonis in her hand. She doesn't mind being his s*x slave if he ever need any as long as he wants. But Adonis didn't even consider that and she simply can't try to seduce him because she knows how much he would hate her for that. He just sees her as a good lady and respects her,so she doesn't want to spoil that respect and good relationship that they both have. But honestly she wished she could have him even if it was just for one night. She sighed and tried taking her mind from those negatively thought popping up in her head. She doesn't want to dwell on them for too long because she might end up thinking of how to get Adonis to have s*x with her and that was not going to yield good. So it would be best if she doesn't think about something as bad as that, because she knows how Adonis hate ladies that throw themselves cheaply at a guy they like.

Meanwhile Adonis was actually now settled in his office again but he hasn't started working yet. He was actually happy that Tania was going to help him out with the planning of the party despite the fact that he almost killed her the previous day. He just couldn't help but wonder why she was so good to him.
