Chapter 4

Aurora remained calm in her bed as she tried hard to stop herself from crying. He felt unloved by Adonis but yet she loves him so much despite how he always treated her. She sighed softly as her stomach clum reminding her she needed some food. She hadn't even had breakfast that morning before she went to Adonis office to reject him, but she got the opposite of what she went there for. She was actually weak because she had feelings for him and she couldn't just go away. She will have to remain with him. She stood up reluctantly from her bed and slowly walked out of her room. She was super hungry and she really needed something to eat. The cook didn't even come to call her for breakfast or rather when she came, she wasn't in her room. She made her way to the kitchen and opened the door to see the cook sitting on a chair with her two hands on her cheeks.

The cook raised her head and saw Aurora walking towards her, she knew immediately what she was there for. "Good morning ma'am." The cook greeted Aurora immediately as she stopped in front of her.

"Good morning, you didn't come and get me down for breakfast,why?" Aurora asked.

"I'm so sorry ma'am, but I actually came but you weren't in your room." The cook said,

"Oh Ok then, but I will need my breakfast right away." Aurora told her.

"Ok where should I bring it?" The cook asked.

"The dining room." Aurora replied before walking out of the kitchen.

Aurora was only confident in talking to the cook that way because Tania hasn't really belittled her before the cook. Which made the cook always respect her and address her as ma'am because she saw her as the Alpha's lady which was also the Luna. Aurora was actually grateful for that because Tania was really good at making the other maids see her lowly and not fit to be Luna. But she isn't too weak but she felt she really needed to be calm because she doesn't want to offend her mate.

Aurora got to the dining room and had her seat as she waited patiently for the cook to come there with her food. She hoped in her heart that Tania should come anywhere close to the kitchen or even the dining room because she doesn't really want to lose the respect she was earning from the cook. And if Tania eventually showed up there, she was going to make sure the cook also disrespected her. She remained seated in the dining room and waited patiently for the cook but she was nowhere to be found. Aurora got frustrated and stood up as she went back into the kitchen. She met with Tania who was just taking something from the refrigerator. Aurora tried to turn back before she could see her but it was rather too late because Tania had seen her already.

"Aurora, are you avoiding me?" Tania asked with a smirk in her face.

"No not at all, why would I do that?" Aurora lied.

"Oh ok, anyway Alpha asked me to tell you that he would be leaving by noon and you shouldn't keep him waiting." Tania said,

"Ok, I totally get it." She said, and turned around to leave but Tania stopped her. As she thought of another way to humiliate her.

Aurora knew she was already looking for a way to make her cry and that morning like what she always does but she would also think of a way to escape her today. She was even happy that she would be going on a trip with Adonis and while she was away, she would have a little rest from Tania.

Tania kept thinking what she was going to do to Aurora but nothing came to her brain but she won't give up until she does that. Meanwhile Aurora prayed silently that the cook won't return anytime soon.

"I see you have nothing to talk about,so I should probably get going." Aurora said, and made attend to go out but Tania called her back, but still didn't say anything to her.

"Look Tania, you just have to give up already, I'm out of her." Aurora said, and went away but this time Tania couldn't stop her.

Aurora was grateful that Tania was short of words that morning and also ways to humiliate her. She was still walking to her room when she met the cook and took her to bring her food to her room. The cook nodded and apologised for not bringing her food earlier before going to give Adonis his food. Aurora told her it was ok and that she understood why she had to do that. The cook thanked her before walking pass.

Tania felt bad that she could humiliate Aurora like she always does and with a sad face she walked out of the kitchen before the cook returned. Tania took a fruit juice from the refrigerator which she was going to drink but went outside and trashed it out of anger. "You were able to escape me today Aurora but you won't be this lucky next time, I will make sure of that." Tania said, before walking back to her room.

After a while the cook finally brought Aurora's breakfast to her room and she quickly took it and thanked the cook before she left. Aurora quickly went over to her couch and sat comfortably before she started devouring the food hungrily. After eating she dropped the dishes at the table and walked over to her closet. She needed to pack up from the trip immediately because she didn't want to keep Adonis waiting when it was time to go. She prepared everything she needed. While she was still packing up the cook returned and she showed her the table where the dishes were kept. The cook quickly took them and went away. Aurora continued packing until she was finally done. She dropped her luggage on the floor very close to her bed and had her seat on the bed.

Adonis on his side wasn't really ready to honour the invitation because he doesn't trust anyone and he already knows why they were organizing the conference. But he just wanted to go because Aurora. He wanted to just make her get her mind from the thought which he knew Tania had filled her head with. So that was his major reason for wanting to attend and he can also just listen to the trash that those Alpha at the conference has to say to him.

Adonis also packs up some clothes he would need for the trip. He didn't really intend to stay there for so long,so the few things he took were ok to him. After packing up he went over to his rogues and made a plan with them, just in case something went wrong there as he didn't trust any of the Alpha that would be present at the silver bane pack.

Adonis later sent for Aurora immediately at noon. While the car and everything they needed was made ready by his rogues. Adonis asked some of his rogues to take Aurora bags into the car which he walked side by side with her. He was actually going to deal with Tania immediately when he gets back from the trip because he knows that she wasn't doing what he had asked her to do for Aurora but rather she was doing the opposite and that has to stop.

Adonis and Aurora got into the back seat of the car as the driver drove off immediately. Adonis held his phone in his hand and opened the password. He thought of calling the Alpha that called him earlier to invite him for the conference and tell him he was already on his way but decided not to anymore and dropped back his cellphone. And turned over to the road and started staring out.

Aurora was actually quiet throughout the ride as she didn't have anything to say. She was still a little angry. Adonis didn't bother to apologise for treating her badly and not caring about her feelings but there was nothing she could do. She tried her best not to look at him but she couldn't resist his cute well built body. She glanced at him occasionally and she was caught by him while she was glancing, making her a little shy as she quickly faced the window and started looking outside. She tried not to look at him again until they finally got to their destination.

The Alpha of the silver bane pack and his Beta were delighted to see them as they both gave them a warm welcome and invited them in. They sent some guards to help them with their luggage as they walked them in with a smiling face. Some other Alpha's and their Luna has already arrived too and we're seated there.
