Fear spiked in from her emotions and Lux whined at me to stop scaring her.
She nodded slowly. "What if you don't?"
"I will. Or Leif will." I said assured. Leif was pathetically in like with her and while I hated it, it was better than the alternative. Not that he told me about it. We were on speaking terms, but it wasn't the same as before. I was still pretty peeved with him about the Ivy thing, but now with my fated thing going, I found that it was a positive to my situation.
He didn't know though. I couldn't bring myself to tell him that I found my mate. Even though he hurt my feelings about Ivy, I didn't want to hurt him. After we got Ivy with us, then I'd tell him.
