The embarrassment was off the charts. After hearing about Ronan's wolf transformation at school my dad wanted to see it for himself.
He wanted to force an invite from Ronan to show him the type of man he was trying to pawn his daughter off onto and see if he would confide in him of some powers he had.
So we waited outside of his building until he got home. I watched him and Leif tumble into the building, laughing and having fun with a pang of jealousy in my chest. Also, a hint of fear of my dad seeing anything between us.
I was sure if he found out Ronan and I were fated mates he would ensure I was chosen by him. There was no telling how far my father would go to get his way. I could already imagine all of my competition getting sick or dying in mysterious ways.
