Leif Ivy was acting differently. I couldn't put my finger on what it was. She was shifty and jumpy and in the small amount of time that Ronan left for home, she looked...like sh*t. She had dark circles under her eyes and refused to eat when I saw her around school or on our mandated dates. She said she wasn't hungry but I knew better. Ronan acted that way while he was here. Not so badly, but...it was there. He would eat a chip or two and put it away and when I spent the night, he tossed and turned all night. And it was all because of this mate bond they had. It twisted me up every time I thought about it. He was hers and she was his and I fit nowhere in that equation. I was nothing. He even admitted that he had to think of her or her scent just to get hard around me. It sucked. It hurt
