Ariella's POV
Just as I was about to speak, I heard Kiley's voice outside the door.
"Darling, Ariella went too far! She just humiliated me in front of everyone and even slapped me!"
She sobbed as she spoke, dragging Damien into view at the office door.
Damien's eyes registered surprise when he saw me, followed by a hint of guilt. But what shocked him even more was that Matthew was here too, seemingly engaged in some conversation with me.
He didn't suspect much, after all, Matthew's father was ill. Perhaps Matthew had come to inquire about his father's condition.
Damien looked at me and said, "Ariella, you've gone too far. You shouldn't have slapped Kiley no matter what. She's my fiancée now, and besides, Kiley's health has never been very good. What if something happens to her?"
