        CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE  A scowl draped over his features as he gave her a once over. I look from Debbie to him, itching to leave because I was not comfortable. Her furious face spoke volumes, I didn't need to hear her voice to know she was angry, and that anger was probably directed at me. Forcing the lump in my throat down, rather than whimpering like a child, I start to pull my hand from his. But he held it strong, I couldn't pull my hand out of his, the grip on my hand was strong, willing myself to look up at him, I find his brown orbs on my face, the emotions swirling around in them made me jerk back. He looked at me tenderly, as if telling me not to go and he got it. And I believed him, so I smiled at him, he smiled back at me, making butterflies to play around in my stomach.
