Mason and Lina sat at the kitchen table with stern expressions on their faces. Their daughter, Dot, sat across from them, fidgeting nervously. "Mason and I need to talk to you about something, Dot," Lina said, her tone serious. "What is it?" Dot asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Dot's eyes widened, and she glanced nervously at her mother and father. "What kind of trouble?" she asked. "Skipping classes, sneaking out at night, getting into fights with other students," Lina listed off the various offenses. "We've always known that you and Dana were a bit of a handful," Mason said, "but this is getting out of control."
