“I’m not ready to go home,” I admit, surprising even myself. “Would you like to watch a movie?” Elena smiles softly. “Sure.” We flip through the channels until we land on some random movie neither of us has ever heard of. It doesn’t matter. I’m not here for the movie. I sit on the couch, expecting her to sit beside me. Instead, she lifts my arm. And without hesitation, she tucks herself against my side, her head resting on my chest like she’s done it a thousand times. My wolf practically melts. She’s ours, he purrs, the sound vibrating through me. Elena is asleep within seconds. Ryker doesn't move. He doesn't breathe too loudly. He doesn't dare disturb her. He just sit there, holding her, feeling her warmth seep into me like something I’ve been starving for without realizing it
