CHAPTER TWO
It just finished raining and the now jobless Daisy is looking out the window in her rented flat downstreet. She was enjoying the smell of after rain as she played piano, it helped her forget things.
Losing her job was like the worst thing that can happen to her now, her electricity and rent were due and it would take a miracle to save her.
Her only hope was moving back to her mom's house until she could get a new job but she didn't want to be liability to her mother because the woman was also struggling, her life was messed up now all because of some CEO who let power get into his skull, how she despised him.
Remembering the incident made her emotional and she began crying again, she was not going o get her job back and she loved working with Sunnyside, she loved adding magnificent tastes to space...
There was a knock on the door, she pushed her stool aside and went to open it.
It was a paper that was slipped in, she took the paper and opened it to find out it was the rent bill, she was 4 months due and the letter threatened to throw her out if she delayed any further in paying her dues.
She took the note and went back to her stool, she had lost pleasure in the smell of after rain.
Just then, her phone rang. It was an unknown caller.
She paused before answering it.
"Hello?". She said into the phone.
" Daisy Brook, right?". A feminine voice called from the phone.
Daisy was taken aback and stared at the phone but still she couldn't recognise the voice from the phone.
" Goodmorning, how May i help you?". She asked confused.
"It's about how i can help you, sweetie". The lady said.
"Excuse me?". Daisy said suprised.
"Oh, well I'm well aware about your financial problems as your rental and electricity are due" the lady on the phone said.
How did she know that? Daisy wondered, she looked around for spy cameras but found none.
"Do i know you?" Daisy asked the caller.
" You might not but i know you too well. But don't worry we're ready to help you if you can cooperate". The caller said. Daisy took a long look at her all the bill reminders on her desk and sighed. She had no choice.
"So, what do I have to do?" She asked.
"Now you're talking. So you must have come across the name Ethan Blackwood". The caller said.
The name sounded familiar to her, then she realised.
"Oh yes, I'm familiar with him. What's with him?". She asked.
" I'm Cindy, we've seen you and how beautiful and competent you are. You'll be good for the job. So we're sending you on a mission". The lady said.
" A mission?". Daisy muttered.
Yes, we were thinking you'll be able to seduce Ethan Blackwood into falling in love with you and convincing him into getting married to you". The lady said.
"What? Why?". Daisy asked.
"Well, when you get married to him, some percentage of his wealth will be to your name and you will divorce him six months later getting fifty percentage of his assets... it's a win win for us".
The lady said.
"So what do I get or how much?". Daisy asked.
"Don't worry, we're getting you a new apartment now equipped with electricity and well furnished as a starter, you'll also get your monthly allowance If this goes smoothly".
Daisy was dumbfounded, it sounded like a good deal to her.
"Can I think about this?". She asked.
"You can but you don't have forever". The caller said as the call ended.
Daisy stood staring at nothingness, she wondered if it sounded like a good plan of sort.
But the idea of a well furnished apartment and monthly pay sounded good.
She picked up the phone and called the number back.
"Hi, about the offer. I'm in". She said.
She noticed a beam at he other end.
"Glad you're working with us, Daisy. We'll tell you the rest of the plan soon". Cindy said as she ended the call.
Before Daisy could drop her phone, she received a been from it.
Her jaw dropped at the message on the phone, it was a credit alert of a huge sum of money.
"I wouldn't be able to raise this in thirty years". She exclaimed suprised.
Well, it was a good deal and she was going to do it.
TWO DAYS LATER
Daisy had gotten a new two bedroom apartment well furnished and stocked with groceries.
Cindy had informed her of the first step already. There was going to be a dinner party in two days time and she was supposed to dress to kill to seduce him. It sounded easy to even though Cindy had warned her about Ethan that he wouldn't easily fall for a lady.
She was sitting on her sofa with a cocktail in her hand surrounded by shopping bags of perfumes, shoes and dresses that Cindy had ordered for her earlier from Dior and Louis Vuitton.
