Nate froze all over, and he felt the chills to the bone. He suddenly had an illusion, perhaps an intuition. Was he going to lose her? She had said more than once that she loved him.
Now, Katie would never love him, and she would only hate his guts. Nate had never been so panicking and so chaotic.
Nate hugged Katie tightly, "Katie, don't think about all this, okay? Keep calm and nourish the fetus. No matter how much you hate me, the child is innocent. Let's get ready together for him to be born healthy, okay?"
Katie bit her lip hard and didn't open her eyes or say any words. She just cried silently, and her stomach felt funny. She wanted to vomit, but she couldn't spit out anything but bitter water. Nate hugged her carefully and put her back on the bed, "Go to sleep."
