CHAPTER 1

Chapter 1 Seraphina's POV:

Adopted to be the empires first and last princess, 6 years after the third concubine disapperead from the empire without trace that was belief to be carrying a baby girl.

This year will be my coming of age, its been 12 years since i lived this castle. Though being a beggar was much better than trying to survive here.

Being feed by hard bread , cold soup. Surviving the winter without heated dresses or coats. Sleeping with only pajamas was painful.

I only get treated right if the emperor wants to see me or on special occasions.

Being bullied by my stepbrothers, the maids. Luckily the Emperor Valerian Nefertari didn't remarry, after the death of the former empress and his beloved third concubine Diane Sierra.

~ Present Time ~

"Wake up, Your Highness" the maid said as she poured cold water... "you'll be? meeting with His Higness the emperor and the princes.

"Yes, thank you for waking me up" chelsea' smiled bitterly.

"WICKED WOMAN" Chelsea shouted and walked away!

Seraphina got herself ready and heads to the dining hall sugos sut

"His Highness, Princess Seraphina is entering" the butler said. Let her in, Phevous the butler opened up the door..

"Good morning, His Royal Highness. May God bless you with a long life." I greeted him with curtsy and sat down

"Really Father Inviting this woman in our FAMILY DINING HALL" someone yelled.

"Enough Lucas, Seraphing is your sister!"

"Seraphina is only adopted, shes definitely not my sister and will never be. Besides my sister is gone we didn't ever get the chance to meet her." Lucas bawled.

" I lost my appetite, maid bring my food to the training camp. Ill be leaving now. FATHER". Lucas stated and gave me dirty looks as he left the room.

It was definitely a heavy atmosphere after that.... You could only hear utensils clanging the plates... the chewing sounds...

the emperors righed. "I'm sorry Sera. I can't control lucas I wish if only, he accepted you as his sister maybe you two could have gotten along really well.

"Don't wish some nonsense, Father" Austine hard while eating.

"... and you hah! dont dream of us being accepted by us." Austine glared.

"We'll never accept her. She don't deserve her title. Even if the letter 12 Years ago was true. I doubt she was the one. She's dull and dirty".

Austine leave. Sera and I will talk privately. It doesn't matter if You are the crown prince." The emperor. Spoke and looks at me with worried eyes. Austine left without any trouble

"I apologize Father. This was the only chance we'll get with your busy schedules." I looked down holding my tears.

I know myself that im not their sister but it really hurts. I even did everything they said to live quietly dont cost trouble but they never even acknowledge me as their only sister.

" Sera... you dont need to apologize. It was my decision to adopt you.. as you look like my former concubine. Do not blams yourself because of my selfish choice. " My father comforted me.

I smiled and continued to eat.

" I summoned you hear to know what are your plans for your coming of age birthday party. Should we do the Royals Tradition or you want a simple one? " The emperor asked.

" Hmmmm. Im thinking of doing the Royal traditions father. But as of now , i dont have guests I could possibly invite. I was thinking if all aristocats be invited. Though it may sound unpleasant to non-aristocats but many young ladies out therr wants to celebrate their coming of age in the palace or so what I heared from the academy."

" Thats a good idea Sera." Ill invite all the nobles and be sure to invite friends from academy too okay. If you are done eating you may go back now."

I finished eating my meals and greeted the emperor and left.....
