Chapter Forty-Two

2095 Words

Eleanor’s POV My mind reeled from the revelation. Logically, I understood exactly what this implication meant, but it was as if the other half, the illogical side of my brain simply wouldn’t accept the truth. I didn’t want to. I couldn’t. But I had to, and that pissed me off more than anything else. That dipshit, useless, waste of space had not only played with me and all these other girls, but had the nerve to mess around with our abilities to carry a pup of someone who wasn’t our mate. If he wasn’t dead already, I wouldn’t have shredded him to pieces already. Though I hadn’t always been a fan of the mate bond myself, I did respect it, and the fact that only one’s mate could get a she-wolf pregnant. It was simply how the Moon Goddess had dictated it, and it should never be tinkered with.
