“Yes, a miscarriage,” Cory said once more.
I stared at him blankly. He had been a vital part of this pack after the attack, and it was only through his skills as a doctor that many of the pack members were saved. I trusted this wolf as much as my father had and knew he wasn’t lying to me. However, I couldn’t believe the words that came out of his mouth.
He walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed.
“How is that possible?” I finally asked.
Cory sighed and chuckled lightly. “Ella, I’m sure I don’t need to get into that with you.”
