Eleanor’s POV Gritting my teeth, I climbed the last two stairs after Alexander let me down. My leg was burning, but I needed to shove the pain down and deal with whatever situation awaited us with Izzy. I limped into the main entryway and saw several demons surrounding Izzy. The room was almost completely full of smoke. I used the smoke’s haziness to hide my warning to Lawrence and Hailey to stay back on the stairs and out of view.
