Alexander’s POV I woke up aching. Everything hurt, and I could see blood all around me. I hoped it wasn’t all mine. Flashes of the battle, which was very obviously over now, spun through my head. I groaned and clutched my head. “Are you okay?” I heard Hailey ask me. “Where’s Eleanor?” I changed the question. I looked over at Hailey, willing myself to get up when she didn’t respond right away. I used the seating of the booth near me to prop myself up and finally get to standing. I stopped counting my open wounds and gashes after five.
