Eleanor’s POV
Operation ‘Let’s fool Nicholas’ was being set in motion, and it felt great to finally have a leg up on him. He’d been in charge for far too long, and now it was time to take back our lives. Nicholas was not in control of what we could do or who we would serve. We had a greater purpose, and we would win. I no longer felt compelled to make Nicholas think I was still working for him. I wanted to know that I was defying him because he could not dictate how I lived my life any longer. I was the one in control of my life, and I wanted him to know and understand that I was taking it back. I wasn’t going to sit around any longer and wait for him to make a play. With Hailey’s hex and Natalie’s vision, we were going to find the dragons.
