"Told you you're his favorite."
"Shut up, Drake."
"Just saying."
Five minutes later, Kodi was standing with Drake, Taylor, and Alexis, waiting for Bishop and Jason to finish their heated conversation over by the cars. They had begun heading there to join them but realized halfway that whatever they were discussing, it didn't need anyone else's company. And so, the four of them stood at an awkward distance, watching but pretending not to.
"Do you remember what that guy said?" asked Alexis. "The part about his legacy or whatever?"
"It sounded like Bishop is retiring."
Everyone turned to look at Taylor. It was the first thing he had said since filming wrapped up.
"Retiring?" Drake shook his head. "No way. He's got another forty years in him. More if he just keeps going 'til he drops."
