From the floor, Alexis and Drake turned to look up at Kodi, heads moving in perfect, slow synchrony. Drake in particular looked like he had just witnessed a car accident happening right in front of him.
"...You want to join us?" he asked. He looked around as if checking to see if there were anyone else in the room she might have been speaking to instead. "Like...you wanna play? With us? Like...?"
Kodi instantly regretted every life decision that had led her up to this point. She also vowed to cut Bishop's throat with a butter knife if he ever gave her advice as shitty as the one he'd given her early this morning again. Hanging out with the others - yeah, right. She turned around.
"Never mind -"
"No, hang on." Alexis reached over to smack Drake on the back of the head
