Chapter 6

870 Words
Charlotte was holding a silver backless gown in her hands, with a satisfied glint and a lit up expression on her face and a sigh of relief escaped from me. "Finally, you like something" I uttered, my voice filling the atmosphere between us. We have been looking through so many dresses already and even though, charlotte looked pretty in almost all of them, she still didn't like them. She was one picky girl and I was suffering from that already. She grinned, going behind a curtain to get it on. Thirty seconds and she was out already in the amazing short silver gown, I stared, my eyes fixed in a daze at her beauty. The gown hugged her figure, her slim waist and her wide hips and show casing her long slender legs. "You look amazing" I commented and she grinned, sitting down on a chair in the room, her eyes fully fixed on me. "Are you sure, you don't want to go?" She asked me for the hundredth time and a tired groan escaped my lips. "I'm more than sure" I uttered, folding my arms and she scuffed, a knowing grin, spreading on her lips. "You're only saying that because it's cade's party" She remarked, and I decided to tell the truth, seeing that there was no point in lying. A frown surfaced on my face once I remembered that he has invited me to it more than a million times already. Charlotte laughed, "you know you're acting like a kid right now" I didn't reply to that, instead I just stared with an huge frown still hanging on my face. "You virgins are usually so innocent and naive. Perhaps you've forgotten that he can't sleep with you against your will" "For anyone of them to win the game, you must want to sleep with them", she explained, trying to emphasize that going to his party meant nothing at all. I knew that she was right and going to his party was very much harmless. I was just sort of disappointed in him at the moment as I didn't think that he would join Aiden and Luke in playing that stupid game. I probably thought too much of him. Charlotte rolled her eyes, moving over to the curtain to change back into her casual clothes and then, we both walked over to the cashier to pay the bills. After she was done, both of us walked out into her car and zoomed off. Five minutes and she was parking in front of her, gigantic house and I stared at it in awe. I didn't expect charlotte to be so rich. She chuckled, catching my expression as she led the way. She pulled open the front door and we were kissed by a drop dead silence. Charlotte's parents were out, so I followed behind her, walking into her pink-coloured room and assisting her in dressing for the party. *** The sun shone a bit too bright this afternoon and I used my hands to shield myself from the rays, as my feet creaked closer to a familiar book store. Everyone was out as usual, and I was here again, to get myself busy. I jerked the door open, coming in contact with a young boy around my age mate, standing at the seat of the librarian with a very contagious smile on. A little frown formed on my face, remembering that that was were granny used to sit. My feet creaked slowly to the boy's direction and when I reached him his earlier smile even widened and a eyes warmer than anything else. He was an hospitable someone. " how can I help you?" He muttered into the atmosphere between us and I smiled, returning his kind gestures. "I'm looking for the old granny that used to run this shop" I asked in a very polite voice and the boy frowned for a while as though trying to process my words and after a while, his features suddenly brightened up. "You must mean granny kim" He uttered and I nodded right on spot and vigorously. "Granny kim was the former owner of this shop but now it has been sold out to someone else" He explained and my smile faded, realizing that she must have used the money to travel out of the city so she could live with her family in her last days as she never liked the fact that she was alone. I nodded and my face fell on hearing that. It only meant that I wouldn't be seeing her anymore. I moved into the shop, deciding to find my books on my own. I was looking for a particular book and after searching for what felt like forever, I frowned. Wondering what made the book disappear as I kept the book specially for the next time I wanted to read it. I was just about to go back to the young boy and seek for some assistance when I spotted a familiar brown curls and green eyes sitting down on a chair not too far from me with the book i've been searching for held in his hands and a slight frown covering his face. Aiden.
