COFFEE STAIN

[Delianna’s POV] I frowned and sighed when I almost finish the things that I need to get done before 5 pm. I felt drained and frustrated. I massaged both sides of my temples. Who wouldn’t get frustrated if I finish a task, then he would order me another one without giving me a break. Like, the heck? It’s my fourth day as his secretary…as Chain Tragedy freaking Ayala’s secretary and now I’m sitting on my swivel chair as my eyes slowly close because of tiredness. All I need now is a break. My senses went back and I suddenly stood up when someone slapped my desk in a loud noise. I looked at my desk and saw a hand holding a thick compiled files. “What’s that?” I asked when I saw that it was my boss. Yes, my boss, the CEO of Future Dreams Home. “Revise it and pass it to Mrs. Rodriguez before lunch time. She’ll be expecting you. You can meet her at the Reno Café.” He strictly ordered using his usual bossy tone. I firmly closed my eyes and wiped my face using the palm of my hands. Sew him! Relax, Lia. Just wait for another day and you can rest at last without someone named Chain around. . “Chain… such a horrible name.” I keep mumbling an insult while making him a coffee. What a weird jerk, he actually told me to make him some coffee at 2pm. It’s freaking hot even though there’s a plenty of aircons inside. While walking towards his office, I passed by a large mirror on the hallway. I looked at my reflection and I’m definitely piss when I saw dark circles under my eyes. I’m still beautiful, I know, but it doesn’t suit me. This is your fault, Ayala, if only I have tons of money. I knocked four times to let him aware that I will be entering. I tilted the knob and went inside. His eyes were laser-focus as he typed something on his MacBook. “Here’s your coffee, Sir.” I slowly placed his coffee with a saucer on the top of his desk. I stood there and waited for him to say something…but Chain Ayala surprised me. I never thought in a million times that he will do something like this to me. He suddenly stood up and threw all the coffee to my blouse. My mouth was left open as I could feel the heat of the coffee. “That’s not the kind of coffee I asked you. I want the dark one, so I want to ask you again. Make me some coffee, Miss Lopez.” He said coldly and went back to work like nothing immoral happened. “But you said—” “Don’t waste my time.” I hurriedly took the saucer and the cup as I walked fast towards the cafeteria. I think he planned all of this. The mini kitchen inside his office was out of order and he told me earlier to make him a cup of milky coffee. The other employees were staring at me as I entered the cafeteria. It feels so hot but I need to endure it. I’m an independent woman and because Chain Tragedy Ayala made fun of me, I’ll back out? No! No f*****g way. I’ll show him how tough I am. I went inside the Kitchen’s Cafeteria, I need to show them my I.D. that I am the CEO’s secretary because if not, I can’t use the coffee maker for free. “Here’s your coffee, Sir. It has no sugar nor milk like what you requested.” He raised his gaze at me and I smiled. Making him think that I’m not pissed. I placed his coffee beside his MacBook. He took a sip and cleared his throat. “Go back to your desk work. I need you at the conference room in forty-five minutes.” I made a slight bow before I headed back to my office. I opened my bag and thank goodness I brought an extra clothe. My blouse is in a deep s**t. It’s covered by stain and I was left with no choice but to threw it away. I’m bad at handling dark stain in a white cloth…I don’t even know how to do the laundry though. I finished the other remaining desk work I have and I also printed Chain’s schedule for the week and I realized that his work as the CEO of the company is not a joke but still, it’s not an excuse for making me look stupid. . At last! I can sleep peacefully later. Tomorrow is my day-off, so me and my friend, Shiela, decided to go bar hopping. The dim lights filled the whole bar and the rock music made the people on the dance floor go wild. “YEAH! THIS IS WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!” I shouted as I keep doing a head-bang. Gosh, it feels fantastic. Tomorrow will be the day where I won’t see my boss’ ugly face… particularly not ugly. I’m a liar if I would say that again. I keep jumping on the dance floor and because of the loud music, no one seems to care but to my shock when the DJ played a sexy sound. I had a few shots before I went to the dance floor and I’m not really aware what I’m doing right now. My body was dancing with the music. The dance floor was a little bit shaky. You know what I mean? I don’t know if it’s just because I’m tipsy or there’s really an earthquake. I suddenly felt a warm hand enveloping my waist. I turned around and a smirk instantly appeared on my face. It’s a handsome guy and I really don’t give a s**t. Dancing and the music made me wild and I really like the guy who was also dancing with our bodies moving in sync. I pulled his face closer to mine with my hands wrapped around his neck and that made him grin. “What’s your name? I’m Jo—” My hands immediately covered my mouth because of the shock. I feel like I didn’t drank any alcohol after seeing how he suddenly trampled. The floor is not wet or something that can make him lost his balance— My eyes widened after seeing a man standing behind the guy whom I was dancing with. My blood boiled and the night where I thought I could be free was ruined. It was no other than my Boss who was smirking at me. I knew it! He is the reason why my dance partner fell. He did it on purpose. He hit his legs causing him to fall down. Gosh, what is wrong with him? If he’s not the CEO of the Future Dreams Home I could have buried him twenty feet underground.
