Gabe left a trail of soft kisses along my neck and along my collarbone. I felt hot and cold at the same time and was struggling to keep my legs up. I ran my fingers through Gabe’s hair and pulled his head back, looking into his steel-grey eyes.
I said I wasn’t going to think about him tonight but I lied. Then he had to appear behind me, looking sexy as hell in black dress pants and a white dress shirt, showing surprisingly well-defined muscles.
I couldn’t believe he was there. How could I have said no when he offered us to join him? I was fighting so many mixed feelings but when he did this? When he caressed my back and kissed my jaw and nibbled my neck, I was a goner.
“Jodi,” he nearly growled. I was definitely going to need a change of underwear if he kept this up.
I hummed in response, unable to form a coherent sentence. He ran a finger along my spine then back up, tracing my collarbone and up to my chin which he tilted up to meet his eyes.
He was teasing me, withholding his kiss and driving me insane. I wasn’t going to beg for it like I did on the roof. If he wanted it, he would have to take it.
I raised an eyebrow giving him a challenging look. He closed his eyes for a second and tensed his jaw.
In a split second, he had his mouth on mine, claiming me. There was nothing gentle about this kiss, it was primal and rough. The taste of whiskey on his tongue revved me up even further, and I wrapped my arms around his neck, snaking one hand through his hair.
He pulled my head back, holding me in place. His eyes travelled across my face, down my chest and slowly back up. I might as well have been naked. I felt exposed but in the best way possible. He kissed me again with the same vigour.
He turned me around and pushed me against the railing with his hips.
“Oh,” I gasped. I felt him against my ass and resisted the urge to move my hips around. If he had to feel me now, he would know I was just as turned on as him. The thought of him touching me sent a wave of heat over my body. He must have noticed.
“What are you thinking, baby?” He carried on a sweet caress of kisses on my shoulder, my neck and slowly up to my jaw.
“I think you know,” I moaned. I put my hands on the railing to steady myself. I wasn’t sure how he would react but it was obvious what I was thinking and hinting at.
He pulled back slightly and turned me around, a serious look on his face. Oh, no. Did I scare him? Was it too soon? We knew each other long enough and I had thought about it before.
“Jodi.”
My stomach dropped at his tone. There was no way he hadn’t thought about it. He already hinted at something on the roof, saying he would’ve taken me then. Did I misinterpret it? Jodi, stop overthinking it.
“Yes?” I tried to keep my chin up but my eyes were starting to burn already. I got it under control and hoped Gabe hadn’t noticed anything.
“If we do this, you have to understand something.” He gently placed a hand on my cheek, his other sitting on my waist. I was intrigued by what he would say next because it didn’t sound like a ‘no’ just yet.
“I have specific...preferences. I don’t do soft and slow. I take what I want and I take it hard. If you’re not comfortable with that, I don’t want to put you in that predicament.”
I swallowed, processing his words. Butterflies erupted in my stomach as I realised my fantasy would be coming true. Rough s*x with Gabe Matthews? Sign me up. I was relieved that he wasn’t turning me down. Does that mean he would do it now, though, tonight?
“Gabe,” I breathed out. I ran a hand down his chest and cupped him through his pants. He was hard and eager. I started rubbing my hand up and down, earning a low groan from him. “I have fantasised so many times about you having me your way. If that’s rough then so be it.”
He kissed me hungrily, weaving his fingers into my hair and grabbing my ass with the other. I needed this as much as he did. I had to know if it would be tonight. “If you want me now, I’m yours.”
He stared at me for a few seconds, the gears turning in his head. He tilted his head and held out his hand again. “Shall we, then?”
I nearly let out a squeal of delight. I followed eagerly, excitement and nerves flowing through me. This was happening.
We got back to the table and Lainey and Mike were deep in conversation that it took them a while to realise we were standing there. I had never seen Lainey hang on to somebody’s words as much as she was now. She must really like Mike. I knew him to be pretty decent and if Gabe trusted him, then I did, too.
“Mike, we’re going to head out.” Gabe still hadn’t let go of my hand and heat rose in my cheeks as I realised it was quite obvious we were leaving together. Lainey looked at our hands and then up to me, a smirk playing on her face.
I suddenly remembered we came in a taxi. Before I could ask she spoke up.
“Don’t worry, Mike lives 2 blocks from me, can you believe it? You two kids go have your fun,” she giggled. Mike gave a salute to Gabe, who rolled his eyes and looked towards the exit. “I’ll let you know when I’m home.”
I nodded and looked pointedly at Mike. “You’ll do well to get her home safely. Are you sober enough to drive?”
He held up his bottle of water and responded, “Been on the water for a while, I’ll be good.”
“Alright, well, good night.” We headed out and towards Gabe’s car. The butterflies had now gone mad, and my stomach was doing flips. I was really going to do this. Good thing I had shaved the night before. I snickered at the random thought and brushed it off.
I was ready to let Gabe have his way with me.
