The moment our lips separated, reality came crashing back. I immediately jerked away from Jayden, my heart pounding so hard I was sure he could hear it.
What the hell just happened?
"I... you..." I stammered, pressing my fingers to my lips where I could still feel the tingling sensation.
Jayden looked just as shocked as I felt, his green eyes wide and confused. He ran a hand through his dark hair, clearly struggling to find words.
"You should watch where you're going," he said finally, his voice rough. "The hallways can be dangerous at night."
