At first, I tried to pretend I wasn't interested in Angela's call. I continued massaging Hayden's shoulders, acting like their conversation was just background noise. But deep down, I knew I needed to listen. These people had hurt me so many times before - what if they were planning something against me again?
I focused my senses, using my enhanced omega hearing to catch every word they were saying. Hayden had moved to the window, thinking he was far enough away that I couldn't hear properly. How wrong he was.
"Angela, calm down," Hayden was saying into the phone. "What's this really about?"
"I told you!" Angela's voice was shrill even through the phone. "Everything is falling apart here. People are laughing at me, calling me names. That video... Hayden, everyone has seen it
