Adah's POV
"What's going on with you?" Jayden asked, his eyes searching my face with concern.
"It's none of your business," I said firmly, crossing my arms. "Whatever problems I have don't concern you."
I could see that he wanted to push further, but something in my expression must have warned him off. He was still angry, and he was smart enough to know when to back down.
"Fine," he said quietly. "But if you ever need someone to talk to..."
"I won't," I said coldly. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have packing to do."
Jayden looked like he wanted to say something else, but instead he just nodded and walked away, leaving me alone in the hallway.
