661 Words
7:30am Asher managed to catch the bus at exactly 7:20, he met 'sorts' of people there, there was an old man who sat behind him asking for food, he didn't know what to do but he remembered that his mom packed him a sandwich earlier, so he gave the man the sandwich . Although he was hungry he couldn't just let an old man starve, he looked at the window during the whole ride trying to ignore the faint feeling of the acid in his stomach building up because of hunger. His headache hadn't faded yet, he just ignored it again and focused on more important stuff like him having to wear a contact lens to school, the only lens he have are the one June gave him just last week for his early birthday gift, June also wanted to see him without his glasses, she said 'glasses makes you look like a nerd even though you're actually a pretty cool guy'........... he just accepted the gift, because it might come handy oneday. He finally arrived at the school at 7:30, fortunately his classes that time were cancelled because the professor got a cold or whatever, June immediately texted him to meet her at the gym, "wow those lenses looks good on you" she complimented as Asher puts his bag down to sit beside June, "i had no choice" he sighed and looked at the hoop at the front of the gym, "ohh what happened to your glasses?" "i fell, face first" he said his voice a bit raspy, "your room's a mess again?" June asked and he just nods, June's basically like a second mom for him, he always takes care of him and invite him to social gatherings and stuff, but she knows how not to cross the line, Asher once got mad at June for unexpectedly showing up their house, well, not mad but embarrassed , his mother wasn't in a good state that day so she screamed at June and accused her as a bad influence for him, because she invites him to clubs and stuff, but he knows June only means good to him. "where's Leena?, i thought she'll be here with you at this time" he finally had the courage to ask, he's a bit uncomfortable to ask June about their relationship because he doesn't want to sound homophobic, "she had to pick her 'bestie' up, you know Jacxon" he doesn't know or remember who that is but he just nods and stared at the hoop, "i'll be t the cafeteria, i didn't have time for breakfast" he says as he stand up and ick up his bag that fell on the floor, "doesn't auntie usually pack you something?"................. "well she did, i gave it to an old man on the bus, tell Leena i said hi" he says as he walks away, on the way he met a teacher and asked him to put the books in an office near the football field, he couldn't just reject a teacher's favor so he just went with it and held his hunger. He was just walking to the office with a bunch of books, he bumped into someone, "oh s**t, im so sorry" the other apologized, he saw his face and thought that he's sort of familiar but doesn't recognize who, he did recognize someone, Leena, "you, you were at my birthday party last year, do you remember me?" the other boy asked as hi give him the books, "im sorry i don't know you, Leena, June said she'll be waiting at the gym" He just said and left, He wanted to ask the other boy's name because of curiosity but his guts said no, so he just went to the office to drop off the books and went to the cafeteria, a staff recommended him an americano to pair with bacon and eggs for breakfast, but he rejected because what the hell, he hates coffee.
