*Arielle*                      I woke to the sun blazing across my closed eyelids, leaving me blind as I put my hand up to the block the battering rays of sunlight. I sit up slowly as my back cracks and my skin tightens on my bones. Ouch! Sleeping on the ground did not agree with me. I miss my big soft bed with its soft sheets, fluffy comforter, plump pillows, the scent of downy in my face as I hide my face in pillows. Sigh. That life was exchanged for this new one. And I don’t think I got the good end of the deal. I look around to find that all of the homeless were long gone just as a man in a police uniform spots me. Oh no. What if Marks put out one of those… oh, one of those… APDs? Yeah. That sounds right. I can’t get caught. Am I running from psycho scientists AND from the police?
