Chapter 5Gin woke up the next morning uncomfortably warm. At first he wondered if he was melting, because he hadn’t had any coffee and he tended to be confused when he first woke up in the morning. Then he remembered he’d gone to bed with another human being for the first time in years and he calmed down. Even when he’d been with Quake, they didn’t share a bed. They each had their own space in team headquarters. Sharing with Smoke had been wildly out of character for him. Not that there was anything s****l about it. Sure, Smoke had kissed him. It had been a pity kiss, nothing more. It was a pity kiss that was the natural consequence of having talked too much. Gin had to remember not to do that again.
