"When Margot died, I was already a dead wolf walking," Jaxon said, his voice steady and resolute. "I've only hung on this long for her last wishes. Don't try to talk me out of it—I've made up my mind." He paused, then continued. "When I'm gone, please place our families' portraits together. Cremate me, bury me with this talisman. Afterward, each of you will get three percent of the Calloway estate. The rest of my assets, in my name, Margot's, and Henry's, will be donated to the pack. The Blake estate will be donated in Margot and Lauren's names." After declaring his wishes, Jaxon walked to the portraits of Margot's parents, knelt, and bowed three times, silently mourning.
