When I opened my eyes in the morning, I had to wait at first to adjust to the new vision. Colors weren't as rich as I had known them anymore. I rolled onto my back and looked around the room. It was lit by the early rays of the sun penetrating in from the half-curtained window. I sat up slowly. I didn't feel pain anymore. I was just tired. I yawned and winced when I could feel pain around my jaw. The room was empty. I wondered where Jase could go... I finally got out of bed to find some clothes. I pulled on a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt. I hesitated when I reached for a sweatshirt as well and frowned. Why didn't I feel cold... To be honest, I felt kind of unusual even in the clothes I already wore. And warm. Maybe too warm… I stumbled to the door, allowing myself one more look
