Lily and Dominic moved swiftly through the labyrinthine streets of Thorne, their breath visible in the cool night air. The encounter with Black’s henchman had left them both on edge, but there was an unspoken understanding between them that they couldn’t turn back now. “Lily, we have to go,” he said urgently. “Now.”

“Who was that?” she asked, her voice trembling.

“One of Black’s men,” he replied. “We don’t have much time.”

As they fled into the night once more, the reality of their situation hit Lily harder than ever. They were in deeper than she had ever imagined, and there was no turning back. But as long as Dominic was by her side, she was ready to face whatever came next.

The city of Thorne loomed ahead, a maze of shadows and secrets waiting to be unraveled. And somewhere in those shadows, Vincent Black awaited them.
