The tale of Avery and Zack was just beginning, a story of love, courage, and the transformative power of following one's heart. Under the soothing sound of the waves and the gentle breeze, each moment shared by Avery and Zack felt like an unending dream they never wanted to wake up from. Their love deepened as they strolled on the sandy beach, their embraces and smiles conveying an indescribable hope.
As the night gradually approached, the moon illuminated their path, alongside the crackling fire, their exchanged words revealing dreams and fears, strengthening their bond with each shared moment.
In the late hours of the night, the peaceful shoreline allowed their hearts to communicate in soft whispers. Beneath the stars, beside the ocean with its rhythmic waves, Avery and Zack felt the strength of their love, holding the promise of a future together.
Countless questions filled their minds, yet with each answer found in each other, their trust in the future ahead deepened.
However, amidst all these, love wasn't always a comfortable journey. Challenges, trials, and obstacles still awaited them along their path.
Avery and Zack returned to the mansion around 10 in the morning.
'Sir Zack, please, don't tell Nanay Maria about us and the others in the Mansion. I don't know what to say,'" Avery whispered, her eyes filled with fear and uncertainty.
Zack grinned mischievously, his mind brewing with a playful idea. "Hmmm, in one condition, he said, winking at Avery.
"What's the condition?" Avery asked suspiciously.
"Stop calling me sir and please, I'm not that old for 'opo' and 'po,' Ms. Martinez," Zack replied with a playful smile.
"Okay po... !!!" Avery teased the young man before stepping out of the car.
She chuckled upon seeing the annoyed expression on Zack's face, their brows furrowing at each other. Hence, she ran into the mansion.
"Averyyyyy" the young man called out to her.
As she was far away, she even danced, teasing him further. Hahaha.
Approaching the door, she suddenly stopped, realizing Nanay Maria stood in front of her.
"Oh my goodness!!! Nanay Maria, I was so surprised to see you," she said, holding her chest.
"Oh, I was the one surprised. Why were you suddenly dancing without any music, laughing so cheerfully? Haven't you even had breakfast, you naughty child???"
Nanay Maria scolded her, playing the role of a worried mother.
"Dear Nanay, uhm, I, uh, I met my friends," she said playfully as she embraced the old woman.
"Good morning, Nanay Maria," Zack's voice came from behind them, entering through the door, giving Avery a meaningful look.
"Hijo, I thought you were already at work. Where did you come from, did you and Avery arrive together?" the old woman asked in surprise.
"Yes."
"No," they both answered simultaneously.
Their eyes met, Zack grinned at her, while Avery's eyes narrowed as she glanced at him, full of suspicion.
Nanay Maria shifted her gaze between them, full of doubt and scrutiny.
"Uhmmm, I happened to pass by, Sir Zack is on the way, Nay, so I decided to accompany him," Avery made an excuse.
Nanay Maria nodded, "Oh, I see. Well, let's eat; lunch is already served."
"I'll go upstairs first, Nay, I'll come down later," he said, winking at Avery.
Unable to contain her excitement, Avery discreetly smiled, concealing her feelings from Nanay Maria.
Following their lunch, Nanay Maria bid them farewell. It was the birthday of one of the household staff, so they would be celebrating with a blowout, courtesy of Sir Zack. They would embark on a two-day vacation in Palawan, filled with excitement for everyone except Avery, who couldn't join as her boss needed her.
"Join me, Nay Maria. I have somewhere to go; perhaps you won't fit in two cars," the young man said as they descended the stairs.
"That's good, son," the old woman replied.
"Oh, Nay, take the day off. Avery will care for me. I've told you, you don't need to serve here anymore. You and Tatay Romeo have been like parents to me since I lost my parents," the young man said lovingly.
"Son, as long as I'm strong, I'll take care and serve you. I consider you my own child. I even promised your father that I wouldn't neglect you," replied Nanay Maria.
"Thank you, Nanay Maria, for your kindness and that of Tatay Romeo to our family," the young man expressed his gratitude through his eyes.
"Alright, come now; we might be late. Dana is still excited; it's her first time in Palawan," added Nanay Maria.
"Avery, we're leaving. You take care of things here," the old woman instructed the girl, who was busy cleaning the kitchen.
"Yes, Nay. Don't forget our pasalubong! Take care," Avery replied loudly from the kitchen.
Avery was sweating after cleaning the kitchen. She headed to her room to change.
After cleaning up, she quickly took a shower.
She was in the bathroom of her room when she heard the door open.
She suddenly felt nervous. She was alone in the mansion, with Zack and Nanay Maria gone. It had only been an hour since they left. She was all by herself in the mansion.
She quickly turned off the shower and wrapped a towel around her body. Slowly, she opened the bathroom door.
She looked around her room, but there was no one there. She grew anxious, worried that something sinister had entered her room.
She hurriedly dressed and applied lotion. After quickly combing her wet hair, she left her room.
"Ouch," Avery winced, as her forehead accidentally bumped against Zack's firm and broad chest.
"Why do you seem to be in a rush?" the young man asked with a smile, holding Avery's arms to prevent her from falling.
"Did you open the door to my room?" Avery asked, raising her eyebrows in curiosity.
"Yeah," Zack replied with a grin.
"Ugh, you're annoying," Avery said with a huff, leaving Zack behind. She even rolled her eyes at him, acting like a petulant child.
Zack chuckled at her actions. At last, he managed to get back at her for teasing him.
Zack approached the irritated girl, who was sitting on the sofa with a scowl. He sat next to her to comfort her.
"Avery," he softly uttered her name.
"What?" Avery asked, her brows furrowed in confusion.
"It's just the two of us here in the mansion," Zack said.
"And?" Avery responded, still seated with her back to him.
"I'm on leave today," he hinted suggestively.
"So what? I don't care," Avery retorted.
The young man lifted her and placed her on his lap.
Their eyes met, and Avery felt drawn to Zack's lips; his tender gaze held her captive.
She anticipated his kiss, but he continued to gaze at her face, seemingly admiring every detail of her beautiful features.
