Beth's POV "It was my sister." My mind went blank for a second, and I couldn't think. When I was in Joe's pack, I often heard the werewolves who beat me talk about Ally's sister, the poor she-wolf. They said she fell victim to an attack organised by a group of cruel rogues who took her away, never to be heard from again. No one knew where they took her or even whether she was still alive or hit. So hearing Ally’s answer made me regret asking her about it. And I cursed myself for being curious. Her words revived the images of werewolves being slaughtered and attacked in my head, the images were so vivid that I could even smell the blood.
