As I was about to take a seat, Winter suddenly noticed me and leaped up, making me stumble and land on the couch. Her paws landed on my lap, and I couldn't help but laugh as her wet tongue gave my cheek a quick lick.
"Winter!" Andrew called out. "Get down!" he instructed, but Winter was too busy showering me with affection to listen. "Winter!" he tried again, and when she ignored him once more, he grabbed her collar and pulled her away from me. "I'm really sorry. I don't know what's gotten into her. She's usually so well-behaved."
"It's all good, no problem at all," I assured him while getting up and brushing off the fur from my clothes. "Winter's a sweetheart, but can I wash my face?"
