I powered up my laptop and hooked up the external hard drive. After logging into my account, I started digging into the Maxwell Group profile and downloaded the data. I quickly tweaked the code to stay off the radar of the company's security system.
Then it hit me—Nathan might actually be Mr. Maxwell. If he really was the CEO of Maxwell Group, no matter how smartly I disguised my code, he would eventually figure out I was the one hacking into their system.
I took a deep breath while I kept typing, watching the download inch closer to completion. My fingers shook as they flew over the keyboard.
The more I craved to find out everything, the faster my fingers moved.
I kept at it until I finally found the answers I was after.
