I let out a heavy sigh as I glanced at Nathan’s hand and decided to take it. Just as I thought, he turned to me, and I shook my head.
“What?” he asked, clearly confused by my gesture.
“Please don’t send her to jail,” I pleaded, and he looked at me in disbelief. “Just let her pay for the damage she caused, just don't take her to prison.”
