I noticed that another car was following us, and we had been driving in silence for an hour already. "How far is your house?" I asked, but Nathan ignored me as he took out his phone and typed something. "Why is another car following us?"
Again, he didn't pay attention to me, and I huffed as I leaned back against my seat, crossing my arms over my chest.
A few minutes later, I felt the car stop. I sighed when we finally reached a rather desolate house. I peered out the window, scanning the property, and realized not only was it remote, but the lawn looked like it hadn’t been mowed in a decade.
