After Trish left, Nicole and I got ready to head home. While I was driving, she was unusually quiet, and I had a feeling I knew why—it was about Trish.
Thinking back to our recent argument about honesty, I decided it was time to come clean about Trish.
At first, she didn’t say anything, but after a moment, she asked, "How did you feel when you saw her again after she left the wedding?"
"Honestly, nothing," I replied with a shrug. "I realized that if she hadn’t run away, I wouldn’t have met you."
